BLACKENED SHRIMP TACOS

Who is looking for a slightly healthier alternative to tacos on Tuesday? I have to tell you, we are always looking for tacos in my house! You may have tried my slow cooked stewed pork tacos or my bowl of tacos.

I love these Black Shrimp Taxis because they match Whole30, but they are also a lighter, tasteful dish. I am a big fan of seafood, so I prefer these shrimp tacos over beef tacos any day!

After a busy day there is nothing better than preparing a simple and tasty dinner that the whole family will like. During the week, it can be difficult to have a gala dinner together, but don’t worry, you only need about 15 minutes to do this!

Ingredients

1 pound of giant shrimp, peeled and developed
1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice, about half of the lime
1 tablespoon olive oil, more for cooking
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, for garnish

Black flavored

1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons of paprika
1 tablespoon of garlic salt, if you add it to garlic powder, just add salt to the mixture
1 tablespoon of onion powder

Wraps and top offers

green leaf lettuce, lettuce oil also works well!
diced red onion
mango salsa
avocado
cilantro

Instructions

  1. Combine all seasonings in a small bowl.
  2. Combine the shrimp and olive oil together in a large bowl. Then add seasoning and mix until the shrimp is completely covered.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet or non-stick skillet over medium heat until it becomes hot. Put the shrimp in a saucepan without blocking them, and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until they become opaque. When the prawns have finished cooking, garnish them with fresh cilantro and lime juice.
  4. Separate lettuce leaves and collect tacos with all your favorite toppings!

If you are not taking Whole30, add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar to the seasoning mixture
