LOW CARB PHILLY CHEESE STEAK BOWL

Ingredients

1 pound of lean beef grass is served if available
1/2 cup lower beef sodium broth
1-2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 medium onions
3 green peppers
5-6 mushrooms in half
1 teaspoon olive oil
4 slices of provolone, cheese
salt and pepper as desired

Instructions

  1. Saute the ground beef in a skillet
  2. Drain the excess fat from the pan and add the broth and Worcestershire sauce to the beef. Continue cooking over medium heat until liquid is absorbed. Beef salt and pepper as desired.
  3. Turn off the heat and put the slices of cheese on the ground beef - cover and let the cheese melt.
  4. Cut pepper and onion into large pieces and place in a medium bowl. Add mushrooms and mix with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper as desired.
  5. Grill vegetables over medium heat until crisp, tender, turning if necessary. (Or roast 400 degrees in the oven for 10-15 minutes until crisp)
  6. Divide the vegetarian mixture between 4 bowls. Top with beef divided equally between bowls.
